Vignobles Mayard obtained a silver medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris.
Lions Club Neuville Val de Saône organizes its 18th Wine Fair with the presence of a sixty-growers producers from all regions of France and carefully selected for the quality of their wines. Beatrice will be the ambassador of Vignobles Mayard on her stand n° 26.
The results of this event will be used to finance social works of the Val de Saône, throughout the year.
Michel Cruz, chef of The Golden Pheasant restaurant in Villefranche, was chosen as a sponsor of the show. This leader is known for his talent for cooking that has 35 years, but also for its beautiful wine, a selection of the best Beaujolais.

Today, Monday, September 10, 2012 is the first day of the harvests. We cut our Roussannes our Grenache and white.
Our cuvée Clos du Calvaire 2010 figures prominently in the Guide Hachette 2013 and get a star.
Here's what it says: "A domain founded in 1923 by Alphonse Mayard. Resulting from the new winery, the Clos du Calvaire 2010 combines Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. The nose reveals ripe fruit -" it reminds me cherry jam of my mother, "said one taster - spices and a touch of animal. A well-typed bouquet and an harmonious, full, smooth and long palate. A good classic to discover in the next five years, on a seven-hour lamb, or a duck with cherries. "
La Revue du Vin de France has released its Guide of Best Wines of France 2013, dixit "a ruthless selection of 1300 domains" all regions and appellations combined.
We are pleased to be part of the charts with getting a star in their scoring system which means "great winemakers who produce good wines, you will not be disappointed by tasting wines of these domains."

Clos du Calvaire 2010 is one of the winners 2012 of "Un Vin Presque Parfait". The jury composed of both professionals and consumers exchanged their views and expectations to make the best choices. The three criteria considered were:
- Organoleptic properties
- The quality / price ratio of the product
- The aesthetics of the bottle
The 2012 harvest should begin in mid-September and last about three weeks. We are looking for people to build our team of harvesters. The conditions are to be autonomous (vehicle + housing) andto commit to staying the entire harvest about September 17 to October 6.

Françoise will attend the special tasting organised by our agent Sylvain Bastian, to the Bastide Saint Antoine in Grasse on April 16th 2012. This is only for professionnels.
For the first time ever, two international Best Sommeliers of the World, Markus delMonego (Germany) and Andreas Larsson (Sweden) have decided to constitute a blind tasting team.
The objective of these two tasters, who have complementary views and experiences, is to inform the public in a professional and impartial way. Their blind tasting sessions take place several times a year in the highly professionaltasting rooms of caveCo in Essen, Germany.
The blind tasting procedure follows very strictspecifications, which allow for constant control and reliable reproducibility of the tasting conditions. This way, the tasting results are perfectly comparable.
Top 100 of best French wines of the month of March has just been published. This classification includes all the different AOC wine regions of France. La Crau de Ma Mère2010 red appears in the Top 100 in 58th place and tops of Chateauneuf du Pape.
For the third consecutive year, Vignobles Mayard is participating to the wine fair "Les Printemps de Chateauneuf du Pape" on March 31 and April 1, 2012.
This wine fair for individuals has become an unmissable event for all oenophiles. I must say it includes close to 80 domains of Chateauneuf du Pape, all syndicates together. The event attracts a wide audience of individuals and professionals, who can taste and compare a number of domains and make wonderful discoveries !

A big thank you to Roberto Petronio, journalist to the RVF who after tasting over 50 Chateauneuf du Pape, has ranked our cuvée vieilles vignes La Crau de Ma Mère 2009 in the third position.
Here are his tasting notes: "La Crau is one of the most beautiful areas of Chateauneuf du Pape, this wine is expressed by a sumptuous nose, with great intensity and complexity. We like to dwell on the beauty of its fragrance. On the palate it has the sap, consistency and great distinction. This is one of the major successes of the vintage. " Note of the cuvée :18/20.

Vignobles Mayard participate through Femmes Vignes Rhône and also through the GVIN. You can come and taste our wines at the stand of Femmes Vignes Rhone n° 74 Hall 11 Lane D but also on the stand of GVIN N°8 Hall 10 Lane A.

For the second consecutive year, Vignobles Mayard is participating in the Wine Fair France Vins 2012 in Amsterdam and Brussels.
We recently bought a "Hoe ECOCEP". This is a plow designed by our supplier CGC AGRI in Orange, which will allow us to plow our fields narrow, planted less than a meter 50. This concerns approximately 6 hectares of our vineyards. So we will be able to completely eliminate herbicides for a total respect of the environment and the people through sustainable agriculture. We will also use it for the rest of the vineyard.
The developer CGC AGRI just won the "Gold SIVAL" a fair that rewards services and innovative products.

Sometimes we would prefer that newspapers do not talk about us... This morning the newspapers explained that our warehouse was broken into during the weekend by several people. They stole about 2550 bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape. A portion was to be picked up by a carrier on Monday morning on behalf of our U.S. importer Polaner. Our loss is about 35.000 euros.
The police is conducting the investigation. We ask anyone who would heard about our stolen wines , to manifest to the gendarmerie of Chateauneuf du Pape or call us directly at 04 90 83 70 16. If we can find those responsible, thanks to you, reward will be offered.
We attacked the work to expand and transform our winery in January 2010. It was initially to make the winery more functional and operational and to create on the same site an aging cellar, which was previously at another address. These first two steps were completed October 2010. Monday, November 28 we launched the final stage of work with the creation of a storage and shipping bottles by the company Rivasi.Final completion of the work is planned for late May 2012.

For the second consecutive year, the GVin meets at the Maison de l'Aubrac Street Marboeufin Paris Monday, November 21, 2011 for an outstanding taste. The GVin is a group of 20 winemakers and 20 appellations. Its identity is around the three main varieties of the South of France, Syrah (for Northern Rhone), Grenache (for the Southern Rhone) andMourvèdre (for Provence and the Languedoc).
Vineyards Mayard will have the pleasure to present the full range of wines from the estate to professional tasters. If you're in the area, please come on the show!

I will be an ambassador of Vignobles Mayard for the wine fair in Cologne, Germany, organized Monday, November 7, 2011.
This is the fifth edition of the show, which will bring together some sixty French winemakers representing all French wine regions. This will be held this year at Wolkenburg, prestigious location and history perfectly suited for wine tasting. The trade show is organized in partnership with UBIFRANCE Paris and Düsseldorf.
